GOAT mix is an Oyster mushroom specialist substrate. It contains 50% soya hulls and 50% straw pellets with a little added gypsum. This substrate is our best performing substrate for growing all types of Oyster mushrooms. We get higher yields and better quality mushrooms using this substrate to grow our Oysters.
 
This substrate block is sealed in our strongest filter patch mushroom bags and can be stored in the fridge for up to 14 days. For best results, use as soon as possible.
 
Each substrate block is sealed before it is sterilised in a computer controlled, purpose built steriliser. all at at 15psi / 121ºC for 120 minutes.
 
Our substrate is prepared in a purpose built lab and laboratory filtration is rated at HEPA H13 to BS EN 1822:1999. (> 99.95% MPPS, > 99.97% 0.3µm).
 
For the best chance of achieving contamination free results, observe sterile technique and use a flow hood or at the very minimum, a homemade glove box.
